I recently played a solo game with a smallish Roman army of 2 legions plus cavalry against a Seleucid force of 8000+ pikemen supported by some Auxilia infantry, skirmisher foot, Companion cavalry, medium cavalry and a good dose of LH. I tried balancing the armies by giving the Romans more cavalry than they would normally have but it still didn't go well with them. You can see the battle report as a pdf here. Enjoy! I use flats because I can print out and make up a complete army in a day or two for nothing, which does, from a practical POV, rather beat out buying and painting a whole lot of figures. And I live in South Africa where UK pounds murder the SA rand. And shipping is a killer. And I'm poor. So there.
